It’s not hard for me to connect with different cultures.
I am Armenian, married into an Arab family, living in Atlanta, GA. Different languages, different cultures, different upbringing. (Yet both my husband and I grew up in Amman, Jordan).
Photographing Yodahe and Katie’s Wedding celebration, Ethiopian style, felt familiar. All I lacked was understanding Ethiopian. (Well, I probably needed a colorful dress too.) It was wonderful to be part of this celebration. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins: Everyone was involved in making this celebration a wonderful one! From the colorful outfits, the lights above us and all the happy faces around us - It sure was memorable.
Congratulations to the sweet couple, and to both families on this union. You are loved. You are blessed.
