She's TWO Cute!

Two years ago, my life changed ... forever.
My mom was here for a planned visit, and I was making a pot of chili. I started feeling tightness in my back ... I called my doctor.

I was 40+ weeks pregnant, we had been expecting our little girl for the past 3.5 weeks! Had a wonderful pregnancy experience, comfortable and sweet. I wasn't sure what to expect next though!

My doctor said I should come to the hospital, and to my surprise she wanted to admit me already... she chose to speed things up and greet our little girl quickly.  I negotiated...and asked to walk around in my sweet exposing gown to make this birthing experience even more natural. Apparently, I'm good at negotiating when it comes to birthing! I walked for an hour more and both baby and I were ready.

Lucene joined us 18 minutes after midnight on November 10, 2015.

Strangers in the waiting room congratulated my mother as she heard the news from the doctor. It's not natural for people to appreciate screams, hah! But when it comes to an all natural birth, they applaud, and i'm grateful for a kind community like that. I laughed when mom told me what happened in the waiting room ... apparently I was the only one screaming, and the birthing suits beside me all wanted to know how it went. "Hey November 10, 2015 moms, I'm fine! It only took me two years to update you! Next time, I'll pass by and show my face...maybe, depends."

Needless to say, I celebrated my baby's birthday this week with much enthusiasm! but also, I celebrated motherhood. All the sleepless nights, restless days, coffee runs, and dealing with body issues ... I'm learning to focus on the good and I'm changing more than I imagined.

To all moms out there, High-Five. Hope you're enjoying your coffee.
